The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries aires every Thursday at 7 pm on the CW.  In my opinion it is one of the best shows on tv right now. And this week was no exception.

On last weeks show Stephan and Elena broke up(sigh) because of her "feelings" for Damon.  Stephan's sober coach is Caroline and he tells her what happened.  She is helping Stephan not become the ripper again and control his urges.  She is so mad at Elena for making such a stupid choice and says she will shake some sense into her.  When Caroline confronts Elena about it, Elena gets upset and tells her that she doesn't understand and walks away.

Since Caroline and Tyler have broken up(sad), she was going to go to the pageant alone but that is when Klaus steps in.  He reminds her that she owes him a date and she agrees to go.  Without realizing it she started to enjoy herself.  They took a walk and sipped champagne and Klause teased her with her Miss Mystic Falls application.  Flirting much????  Tyler is looking on and he is not too happy about what he is seeing but yet again he is there with Hayley.  So he can't be too upset because he did the same thing.  At the party he finds her talking to Professor Shane and she respondes that she is making conversation.

Then we find out that Hayley really does know Professor Shane because they seem to be working together.  And whatever their plan seems to be she wants to leave Tyler out of it and the professor isn't sure he wants to do that just yet.

During this whole episode it is the Miss Mystic Falls pageant.  Since Caroline is the reigning queen she is in charge of the event.  While giving orders to helpers, Professor Shane shows up to ask where the judges are meeting.  She points him in the direction and he is off his way.  I still think he is up to something way more than we can imagine.

Damon is very suspicious of Professor Shane and doesn't trust him.  He is questioning him about finding another vampire hunter.  Shane says they don't just pop up and tries to ignore Damon.  When Damon confronts him again later, Shane tells him that even with the map from the hunter he can't open the box without a certain witch.  A Bennet witch.  Bonnie.  Who isn't doing magic since her last encounter with the witches.  Damon realizes that they need Shane and lets him live.

Matt and Jeremy are also helping set up at the pageant and Jeremy shows Matt his new found strength.  And he also revels to Matt the dreams that he has been having about killing Elena, since she is a vampire and he is a vampire hunter.  Matt tells him to tell Elena if not he will.  While getting ready for the pageant, he is April's date, he gets a text from Stephan to meet him.  When he arrives Stephan has a newborn vampire for him to kill.  When he does his tattoo extends and when Stephan wants to know what was added, he drives a stake through his stomach and leaves.  Following his true calling.  He arrives late to the pageant and sees Elena.

She sees his and follows him to the house and finds her self in danger.  She is trying to convince him not to kill her and when she approaches him he shots verbane into her throat.  He is ready to drive the stake through her heart and Matt shows up and tries to convince Jeremy not to do it, but it was in vain.  Then comes Stephan(!!!) and he saves her, again.  When they are walking on the lawn she asks him what Jeremy was doing before and Stephan tells her what they did.  She gets mad and tells him to stop involving Jeremy and to move on from her.  That she has changed and he needs to realize that.

And Miss Mystic Falls is....April Young!!! Surprise surprise.

Elena in fear of being killed by her brother moves out and asks Matt to move in.  She shows up to Damon and Stephan's house. Awkward!!! Stephan tells her to pick a room and leaves saying he will find another place to sleep for the night.  So they are alone and the inevitable happens.  They let all those feelings run loose.  Meanwhile, Stephan is a Caroline's and she is not happy that Elena is alone with Damon.  She mentions that Tyler is still breaking the sire bonds of Klaus' hybrids and then it hits her.  Klaus did say it was rare but this explains everything.  Damon tells Elena she can't drink from a blood bag or animal just from the vein, and she does.  He says that he likes the red dress better for April and she agrees without hesitation.  When he is worried about Jeremy he tells her calm down and she does.  All signs pointing to the fact that she is sired by Damon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still not sure on how this happens but it did.  Maybe because she is a doppleganger, her blood can create hybrids or maybe because his blood made her a vampire.  The answer is unclear but I can't wait to see if its true because then she can go back to being with Stephan!!!

This was by far the best episode of the season, I was so excited! And so you guys can all enjoy it as well I am putting the link of the website where you can watch it! I hope you enjoy it!!!  :]

How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother comes on CBS every Monday night at 7.  This is the eight season of the show so we are getting closer to finding out who the mom is!!!!

This weeks episode is called "Stamp Tramp."  Which is what they call Marshall's approval on anything.  Pretty much it has no significance because he gives it to everything.  When he sees his friend Brad outside his work, looking like he was homeless, he gets him an interview at his firm.  He tells the gang that he has given him the stamp of approval.  The gang knows that this is a bad idea but Marshall is determined to prove them wrong.  They are preparing for a case against Gruber Pharmaceuticals and when they arrive at the court house they find out that Brad was working for Gruber the whole time.  He used Marshall's kindness and got their whole game plan against them.  If Marshall doesn't win this case, he will be fired.

Barney was a regular customer at Lusty Leopard where he met Quinn, his ex-fiancee, and now that she has returned to work, he is the hunt for a new strip club.  When the other strips clubs know this, they all want Barney as their customer and they start to woo him.  This become too much to handle on his own so Robin offers to help his find a new strip club.  She gets swept up in all the hype and picks a strip club called "Golden Oldies".  Barney then fires her as his agent when he learns that she was bribed by the club and makes the decision himself.  He announces at MacLaren's that his new strip club is the Mouth Beach.  And on his first night there he talks Robin with him.  When they are walking back home they start talking and get into a moment and Barney kisses Robin!!!! She returns the kiss and then pushe shim away and leaves!!! Ugh they need to be together already!!!

Ted is dealing with a separate issue.  He believes that he has his own stamp of approval and that it actually works.  But that bubble was shattered when the crew tells him that he piggybacks on other peoples ideas.  So he spends days going through videos of what he thinks are his most iconic ideas, only to realize that they were right.  Ted piggybacks off of their ideas and makes them his own.  But there was one thing he didn't piggybacks on.  He is the one who tells Marshall that Lily is a keeper.  he gives Marshall the best advice ever!!!

This is one of the best episodes this season.  I know that the season will only get better because we see bits and pieces of Barney and Robin at a wedding chapel about to get married!!! I don't know how they get there but I can't wait to find out.  Also they have reveled to us where Ted meets his future wife.  Now to finally know who she is!!!

*I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.  I am thankful for my family and friends who are always there for me. And I am thankful to God that he has allowed to me see all the blessings he has continued to give me.

gLee

This week could not belong to any other show than Glee.  It was the school musical and this year they did Grease!! One of my all time favorites!!!

Sooo many things happen on this episode it blew my mind.  Let start...Mr. Schuster is leaving McKinely to go to Washington D.C. to save the arts and he names Finn as his replacement.  When Sue finds out she flips and asks Principal Figgins to not allow it.  Obviously it has already been passed and there is nothing she can do about it.  But she declares war on Finn just like she has to Mr. Schu.  She is more upset because of the comment that Finn made about her daughter and she won't accept any of his apologies.

She starts to sabotage the play by having Unique's parents take him/her out of the play because he/she got the role of Rizzo.  But she doesn't stop there, she reserves the auditorium for her cheerleading squad so that they don't have a place to rehearse for the musical.  Classic Sue.

In New York, Rachel tell hot Brody about her first audition on Broadway and asks for his help to get prepared.  Cassandra her dance teacher overhears and tells her she should probably wait because the director is a hard one.  Rachel then makes the mistake of telling her she should audition with her for a different role in the play.  Rachel and Kurt are rehearsing in the dance studio when Cassandra overhears them talking about going to McKinley for the play.  She offers them her frequent flyer miles that she can't use.

Kitty is after Marley and she alters her costumes so that she makes her believe that she is gaining weight.  Making Marley believe that she is predisposed to gain weight.  Kitty then "advises" Marley to start throwing up so that she can lose the weight she is gaining.  This affects Marley so much that on the day of the musical she is found in the bathroom by Ryder, the new cute lead. He snaps her out of it and later she feels so self conscious in her last costume and he plants one on her!!! While Jake is looking!!! Thats what he gets for choosing Kitty over Marley.

Finn make a call to Santana who takes over the role of Rizzo, so he beat Sue on that one. Rachel and Kurt arrive and they run into Blaine and Finn.  AWKWARD!!!! When they are singing the last song, "You're The One That I Want", Rachel envisions herself up there singing the lead with Finn.  Kurt sees himself singing with Blaine.  Santana with Brittany and Tina with Mike.  All the couples from last season singing the final song.  Rachel left to the bathroom to call Brody for moral support.  And who answers the phone......Cassandra!!! She planned the whole thing so that Rachel would be gone and she can have Brody. fail.

They get great reviews and celebrate.  Rachel and Kurt don't feel like Lima is their home anymore...and Finn is the new director of New Directions.

*This is totally sad news....today I received my last issue of Seventeen Magazine.  I feel like I am getting to old to read it so I cancel the subscription.  It makes me sad but its time to move on. :]

Partners

This weeks show of the week is Partners "Two Broke Guys."  This is a new comedy series on CBS about two best friends, one straight and the other one gay, and how they manage to run their architect  firm and their personal lives.

In this episode Joe and Louis are struggling to keep their firm financially stable.  Louis thinks that they should ask for their old job back at the firm they were before.  When he goes back to ask he finds out that the reason behing him and Joe quitting was because Joe was going to get a promotion and Louis was going to get fired.  When Louis finds out he goes to visit his brother who wants nothing to do with him after he finds out he is gay, to ask him to let his firm do some buildings for his company.  Joe stops him because he knows that they will make it through and so Louis doesn't have to suffer any humiliation in front of his brother.

Joe finds out that his fiancĂ© Ali kisses Wyatt, Louis partner in the mouth goodbye.  Joe gets upset and Ali assures him that he is over reacting because it's nothing serious.  Wyatt is a very attractive guy and ven Joe admits it.  So when Ali is put to the test about feeling nothing when she kisses him, she realizes that she was wrong.  Even though he may be gay and she is engaged, she still feels something when she kisses him goodbye.

This is a different take on the show Will and Grace.  I love how funny it is and how many of the topics relate to us.  I highly recommend this show, and it comes on after How I Met Your Mother so it's a perfect hour of comedy.

*Side note: I watched Wreck-It Ralph this weekend and I loved it!!! It is a feel good movie for all ages and I recommend you go see it!

Modern Family

The show of the week is Modern Family.  Luke and Manny are having a yard sale for their class and the whole family is involved.  Each one has something going on other than the sale and they all mesh in to the story line.

Everyone is pitching in to this yard sale and giving stuff that they don't need anymore.  Gloria and Jay are having the yard sale at their house.  Jay isn't too happy because he feels its exposing his house too much.  Manny finds a suitcase in the attic and Gloria doesn't want him to sell the suitcase or look in it.  When Manny and Luke open the case the find a puppet and Gloria explains that this was her talent at the beauty pageant.  She conquers her fear of performing her act and does it for the family during the garage sale.

Claire is worried about Alex because of her new boyfriend.  Claire thinks her new boyfriend is gay and doesn't know how to make Alex see it.  She asked Mitch and Cam to talk to Alex and make her see the "truth" about her new boyfriend.  When she confronts him he gets offended and she gets upset at her mom for putting her in that position.  Claire decides that she should just let Alex go through it and she will be there for her.

Jay is thinking about selling his motorcycle and Phil decided to take it out for a spin.  He gets stranded on a cliff and acts dramatic as usual.  And decided not to get the motorcycle and keeps his moped.

Cam has lost weight and he wants to sell his "fat" jeans at the yard sale.  Mitch tries to keep them because he knows that when he gains the weight back he will need the jeans either way.  When Cam confronts Mitch he tells him that he knows and by selling the jeans he is motivating himself even more to keep the weight off.

This episode made me laugh the entire time.  And I also liked the messages that each story line had. You are able to apply it to your own life and make a joke about it too.  The episode is "Yard Sale".

New Girl

So the best show of the week in my opinion was New Girl. This show is on Fox every Tuesday at 8.  This week there was plenty going on with the roommates.  It was Cece's birthday and Schmidt got Nick a cookie.

Every year for Cece's birthday, her and Jess watch a movie and eat cake, but this year Cece wants to do something different.  She wants to go to the club with her model friends and have a good time.  Jess isn't into that scene but she would do anything for her best friend.  They have known each other since they were kids and they can't see each other not being friends.  The club doesn't end well and they end up in a fight.

Schmidt being the unconventional guy that he is, buys Nick a cookie and tells him its because he was thinking of him.  Nick is obviously weirded out and doesn't know how to react to this gesture.  Winston is surprisingly on Schmidt's side and tells Nick that he needs to show some more emotion.

Cece feels like she isn't loved by Jess and Nick feels too lived by Schmidt.  Within the episode there is the universal question of would you be friends with this person now if you had meet now.  They all seem to agree that in the present they wouldn't be friends because they live such different lives.  But they are glad that they have known each other long enough that they are friends.

I was laughing so hard while watching this episode.  It made me think of my friends and I asked myself that same question.  If you need a good laugh I recommend you watch this episode, Models.

Intro and Bio

I'm Laura Garcia and I am a senior at Weber State University.  I am a Political Science major with Communication as my minor.  I hopefully graduate in April of 2013!!!!

This blog is going to be about the best show that I saw in the week.  I have certain shows that I watch and that is what I will be blogging about.  I am also willing to watch any show that you recommend. And out of all the shows I will pick the one I thought was the best of the week and write about it.

The shows that I watch are Revenge, How I Met Your Mother, Partners, Gossip Girl, 90210, New Girl, X-Factor, Modern Family, Glee, The Vampier Diaries, and Grey's Anatomy.  I am open to watch more shows other than these.

I decided to write on this because I love watching t.v. shows and enjoy talking about them.  I get really into the shows and I am glad that I now have an outlet to talk about it.  I can't wait to share this passion with everyone and I hope that you enjoy it. :]
